Oil Dipstick

Engine oil is important for every engine, so it is important to keep a close eye on the oil level in your car. An oil dipstick is a special sensor that notifies the driver when the engine oil level is low. The gauge is immersed in liquid, so the sensor reports the oil level as well as the quality of the oil before the car is driven, before the engine is started.

When you should replace the oil dipstick?

The oil level gauge (dipstick) does not normally need to be replaced on a regular basis and does not have an exact lifetime. It is usually replaced in the event of mechanical damage, loss of tightness after many years of use, or contamination with a mixture of oil and dirt. The oil level sensor may be damaged if it does not provide the driver with any information about the oil in the reservoir or the amount of oil present.
